The expansion includes the renovation of the existing Terminal D, design and construction of a new six-gate state-of-the-art pier to ready the airport for the future, and a new foreign flag CBIS processor. The new facility will be known as Mickey Leland International Terminal (MLIT) and is part of the airport’s capital development program.
Currently, the terminal has 12 gates and houses 13 airlines carrying more than 2.4 million passengers a year. The terminal is operating at maximum capacity during peak hours and bovada casino reviewrequires expansion and modernization to accommodate anticipated growth. Additionally, several major systems and amenities at the terminal require updates to meet current building codes and operational standards.
Burns’ scope of services consists of a combination of extension, upgrade, and new electronic systems. Systems include EVIDS/dynamic signage, common use shared systems, AODB/RMS, security, wired/wireless networks, communications infrastructure, fire alarm systems, radio, and public safety/cellular DAS.
In addition to this initiative, Burns provided similar services to develop the overall conception for the International Terminal Bovada bonus codesRedevelopment Program. This included the planned renovation and expansion of the existing FIS Terminal E ticket lobby into a new international ticket hall and domestic baggage claim, which supports the MLIT airside improvements.
